A big group of young people is sitting furthest in front of the café, as if they were positioned there to greet people emerging from the metro station. There are quite a few outside tables, all small and round with various colored tops like lidless extra-dimensional buckets of different flavors of sherbert. The wicker chairs all have blue-green plastic caning (green with a tinge of blue). My coffee came with a spéculos cookie for dunking and a small glass of water. And a blue tube of powdered sugar.
The waiter's head is shaved, and the reduced protection of his brain from ultraviolet rays may be the reason why it took him about five minutes to make change for my ten euro bill.
I've been here before. The inside is nice, too, and there are some comfy couches for the lucky few who grab them first. Don't try to get away with not ordering anything, though. Consumption for everyone in your entourage is mandatory.
Metro: Arts et Métiers
Sugar: tube of powdered sugar
Bonus: spéculos cookie
