Le Courlis

A big group of men speaking in Spanish is sitting outside, and the waiter managed to knock over one of their beers onto their clothes and bags. He apologized and went to get another beer, and that seemed to be enough for them to continue talking and laughing.

The place seems rather full of people inside and out, a real hangout for regulars, apparently. The front of this relatively small place is open, and I'm sitting just inside at a lone square table between a window and the open door, but it's not too claustrophobic. My espresso came with a maroon tube of powdered sugar.

A man with a big black dog came in earlier; the dog looked like it was ready to lunch on whoever got in its way. After greeting some people out front, the two went towards the back of the place somewhere, probably to meet with another group of friends deeper inside.
