This place feels like home. People are scattered about eating what look to be delicious meals. A woman (the patronne?), with her black hair in a bun, stands in the middle of the place next to a table with various cheeses and tarts. Elvis sings "It's Now Or Never" on the radio. The server (the patron?) wears a maroon double-breasted coat and black dress pants. He gave me a packet of sugar cubes with my espresso. A black plastic ashtray was already on my square, fake-wood table when I sat down. There's an Attack from Mars pinball game here that has two credits on it, as a result of a double match from when someone was playing it earlier. I don't know why the guy didn't keep playing, but I'll use the credits if no one else does first. |
